I think a lot people fear what they don't know. 
 
People may fear anything from going back to school to trying sushi for the first time.  Things that may seem minimal to some but very relatable to others.  Massage is one of those fears as well. 
 
I've had so many first time clients tell me how nervous they were, which I completely understand.  New massage clients feel vulnerable.  They're trusting you to work on them and to make them feel comfortable.

Benefits of massage therapy for sleep

How important is sleep?According to the CDC, "Insufficient sleep is associated with a number of chronic diseases and conditions-such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, and depression-which threaten our nation's health.  Notably, insufficient sleep is associated with the onset of these diseases and also poses important implications for their management and outcome."
 
I read recently inMassage Therapy Journalthat a study, comprised of 30 adults, showed that people who received a 30 minute massage session twice a week, for five weeks experienced less pain, depression, anxiety, and sleep disturbance.
